About the University

The University of Queensland (UQ) is a comprehensive university built in 1910. It is one of the founding institutions of Australia’s “Group of Eight”, and one of only three Australian members of the Universitas 21 (an elite international alliance of leading research universities). The number of national teaching awards won by its teachers is far ahead of that by other universities, and that of teaching committees and teaching excellence contributions ranks first in Australia. UQ ranked 48th in the QS World University Rankings 2019 and 42nd in the U.S.News Best Universities Rankings 2019. In particular, its accounting and finance major ranked 43rd in the QS University Subject Rankings 2019.

The university’s Business School, Economics School and Law School situates at the St Lucia Campus in Brisbane, a city famous for its beautiful scenery. Its Business School is the first of its kind in Australia to receive double certification from the world’s top certification bodies, namely the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS).
