The Center for Foreign Language Training of the Ministry of Education, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS), here plans to recruit trainees (including art trainees) to attend the full-time/part-time English training courses in the Advanced English Training Programs for State-Sponsored Studying Abroad.
Full-time class: The training time is from March to June 2019, all day on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and Thursday mornings. The unified examination is initially scheduled on June 27-28 (subject to notification of arrival).
Part-time classes: The training is completed in two stages: the first stage is from March to June 2019, the second stage is from September to December 2019, Thursday afternoon and all day on Friday. The unified examination will be around December 28 (subject to notice in September).
Visiting scholars who have obtained or plan to apply for the“Qualification Certificate of China Scholarship Council (CSC) for Studying Abroad” should plan accordingly and register for training.
Ⅰ.Entrance requirements
1. According to the decision made at the meeting betweenthe CSC and the Teaching Steering Committee of Higher Education Institutions of the Ministry of Education on March 2015, “All trainees must take the entrance examination before they can obtain their school status. The national unified examination only allows trainees who have obtained their school status to take part in it.” Therefore, those who do not take the entrance examination will not be able to take the national unified examination and will not be able to obtain the certificate of completion.
2. According to the regulations of the school status management of the CSC and the Teaching Steering Committee of Higher Education Institutions of the Ministry of Education, during the study period, unexcused absence is not permitted, and the examination qualification is canceled after a total leave or absence of 30 class hours. Please arrange your teaching work in advance.
3. Art trainees should register in Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU) or Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS). Other training centers no longer provide English training for art trainees who receive qualification of state-sponsored studying abroad. Art trainees who have not participated in foreign language training in BLCU or GDUFS will not qualify for the art examination.
