The Delegation Leaded by CSC Deputy Secretary-General Zhang Ning Visits the International College of GDUFS for Guidance

In order to ensure the smooth implementation of the 2018 Program for Chinese Physical Education Teachers to Study in the US, on July 27, Secretary-General Zhang Ning and Director Wang Jing of the Department of America and Oceania from the China Scholarship Council (CSC), Sun Wei, Head of the Federation University Sports of China (FUSC), and sports program heads of the University of Utah and Arizona State University of the US came to the International College of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS) to guide the training. Vice-President Chen Linhan, Dean Wei Huiliang and Vice-Dean Yang Wenhui of GDUFS held meetings with the visiting guests, and conducted in-depth exchanges on further cooperation among various parties.

On the afternoon of July 26, Cheri Daily and his colleagues from the University of Utah and Arizona State University, gave a program presentation and pre-mobilization to Chinese coaches in the Academic Hall of the Library for basketball, swimming, track and field, tennis and volleyball. On the afternoon of July 27, the program leaders of the US had a lively academic exchange with the trainees in the Training Center.

This was the second time for the Center for Foreign Language Training to undertake intensive English training for the Program for Chinese Physical Education Teachers to Study in the US. The trainees are 146 outstanding professional PE teachers from all over China. In order to improve their English proficiency in a short time, the Training Center has tailored a one-month short-term intensive English teaching program for them, including English reading, writing, listening, speaking, grammar, American culture and other courses based on their profession and English proficiency. Through English training, their English competence was significantly improved during their stay in the US.
