At 8:30 a.m. on July 5, 2018, the Opening Ceremony of 2018 English Training Course for Chinese Physical Education Teachers to Study in the US was successfully held in the Academic Hall of the Library of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS). Attendees included Dean Wei Huiliang, Vice Dean Yang Wenhui, Teacher Zhang Haiqiang from the International College and Center for Foreign Language Training, as well as 146 coaches and athletes from universities all over China. Vice Dean Yang presided over the meeting.
The Ceremony
At the meeting, Dean Wei Huiliang extended a warm welcome to all the teachers on behalf of the Center for Foreign Language Training. He briefly introduced the status of the Center, emphasized the importance of this English training and encouraged the teachers to study hard. He also shared his experience in learning English.

Vice Dean Yang Wenhui further analyzed and explained the training and study plan. She emphasized that the training is characterized with short time and high intensity and reminded teachers to think more in the process of learning, give full play to their subjective initiative, and put English learning first. Vice Dean Yang also briefed them on the basic requirements of the examination. She encouraged them to enjoy their study, effectively use their spare time to exercise, and work hard at both English and sports.
Brief Introduction of the Teaching Plan by Vice Dean Yang Wenhui
This is the second term training for the program. Last year, 170 coaches and teachers passed the English test successfully and continued on to foreign cooperative colleges for further study after training. After the meeting, the Center organized the teachers to take a group photo.
