Dear students:
In order to further meet the needs for talent training due to local economic construction and social development, the China Scholarship Council annually subsidizes foreign language training fees for overseas personnel who have been granted special programs of talent training in Western China. However, according to the fourth point of the third paragraph in the “Letter on Enrolling the Second Batch of Overseas Personnel from the Special Programs and Local Cooperation Programs of Talent Training in Western China in 2018” ([2018] No. 10006), it requires that“The tuition fees for English training shall be the responsibility of the individual or the company in which the oversea personnel is employed by, while the tuition fees for German, French, Japanese, Russian, Spanish and Italian training shall be the responsibility of the Ministry of Education; the cost of board and lodging shall be the responsibility of the individual during the training period.”As of the autumn class of 2018, all oversea personnel who have been approved for special programs of talent training in Western China at the department for foreign language training will no longer be funded by the Ministry of Education, but instead by the individual or the company which the personnel is employed. The training fee is RMB 7,750.00, and the cost of board and lodging shall be the responsibility of the individual.
